The men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at the 2012 NCAA Northeast Regional Championships at Hammonasset State Park.

MEN

Iona’s team score of 45 secured their first place win.

Graduate student Mitch Goose: placed first with a near 12-second win, crossing the line in 30:04.5.

Junior Daniel Clorley was fourth (30.27.0)

Sophomore Jake Byrne was eighth (30:29.4)

Junior Matthew Gillespie crossed 13th (30:35.3)

Red shirt freshman Mike O’Dowd was 19th overall (30:46.3).

WOMEN

The lady Gaels placed 19th in the Championship.

Junior Katie Niblock finished 28th overall in 20:45.9.

Senior Marion Joly-Testault placed 73rd (21:31.1).

Junior Luci McLoughlin finished in 22:34.6.

Sophomore Marlene Delices came in at 23:03.3.

Senior Erin Brady (23:17.1) also scored for the Gaels.
