Road to Wrestlemania Continues in Chicago
The road to WrestleMania started at the Royal Rumble and continued at the United Center in Chicago for the Elimination Chamber on February 28th.
The Women’s Elimination Chamber opened the show, where the winner challenges the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania. Tiffany Stratton and Kiana James started the match, with a great showing from James, who was able to eliminate Alexa Bliss, with help from Asuka. But both Kiana James and Asuka would be eliminated by Raquel Rodriguez who pinned both superstars at the same time. Rodriguez was easily the MVP of the match as she has been improving since Kevin Nash called her out. . But Rodriguez’s dominance would come to an end with Rhea Ripley and Tiffany Stratton teaming as Stratton eliminated Raquel, but Rhea would win by hitting Tiffany with a Riptide, setting up Rhea Ripley vs Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 42 in an excellent match.
The two mid-card matches saw a fantastic match between Becky Lynch and AJ Lee with AJ Lee winning the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship, and CM Punk and Finn Balor put on an absolute clinic for the World Heavyweight Championship. And before the main event, the mystery box would be open as Danhausen would make his WWE debut in a mixed reaction.
The Men’s Elimination Chamber match main evented the show, as the winner challenges the Undisputed WWE Champion at WrestleMania 42. Cody Rhodes and Je’von Evans would start the match, who were then joined by Trick Williams, Logan Paul, and LA Knight. Speaking of Paul, he would easily be the MVP of the match by scoring 3 eliminations, only for his momentum to be stopped by the masked man, who finally revealed himself to be Seth Rollins, as Rhodes would eliminate Paul. The end of the match saw Rhodes vs Randy Orton, only for Drew McIntyre interfere, leading to the former Legacy teaming up, only for the Viper to RKO Rhodes and win the match in such an excellent match to end the night.
The Elimination Chamber was a fantastic continuation that is leading us to the Showcase Of The Immortals in Las Vegas.
