For all the horror fans out there, you should keep an eye out for Friday Feb. 27! The video game “Resident Evil: Requiem 9” and “Scream 7” are both set to release that day.
The popular slasher franchise returns to the big screen with the seventh film, 3 years after the release of “Scream VI” back in 2023. Now, Ghostface returns with a brand-new identity, hunting down Sidney and her teenage daughter.
The Scream franchise has been around for 30 years and has spawned lots of movies and they even have their own tv series. Fans debate over whether 1996’s Scream or its 1997 sequel Scream 2 is the best of the franchise. There has been a lot of controversy over the years on whether the franchise has held its classic slasher film feeling.
Meanwhile, one of the most iconic horror video game franchises, Resident Evil has returned with its ninth game: Resident Evil Requiem and it is set to be released this Friday, Feb. 27.
The game introduces a new protagonist, Intelligence analyst Grace Ashcroft who is tasked to discover the strange deaths of multiple people in the same place where her mother was murdered long ago. The game also marks the return of Leon Kennedy who is now in his early 50s. He is off to save grace and stop a fatal infection.
Resident evil is one of the most iconic video game franchises of all time, as many people consider Resident Evil 4(original/remake) the best and the game is a personal favorite. The last game of the franchise, Resident Evil: Village was released back in 2021, and the franchise also has lots of spin-off games.
Resident evil also made an appearance in Fortnite as skins, and they considered one of the rarest skins in the series as the last time they were in the item shop was 2023. Other than that, Resident Evil is still praised for its amazing storyline and peak horror fiction and memorable boss fights such as Jill vs Nemesis. Resident evil is declared one of the greatest horror franchises of all time and millions of copies have been sold on console and PC.
