With the falling leaves and crisp air slowly approaching, many people might be looking to change their appearance along with the season. Say goodbye to beach waves and sun-kissed skin as fall weather brings changes to everyone’s looksChanging your hair would be the perfect way to focus on becoming the new you this semester. From the most flattering hair styles to the most popular cuts consider this your go-to guide to your best fall hair ever.

  1. The first style to look out for this fall: chop it off! There are many pros and cons to chopping your hair off. After months of lockdown, it’s obvious to see why people just want change. Pros to cutting off your hair are that there will be less hair weighing your head down and it will be easier to style.

Women sometimes think that if they don’t have thick, princesslike locks, they’ll get the short end of the stick when it comes to low cuts, but it doesn’t have to be that way! One of the biggest trends that’s been returning recently is the pixie cut. This style can create an illusion of being sassy, sultry, sweet or rock chic.  This cut is the perfect mix of messy and sleek. Getting rid of that dead weight will make it easy to style and keep you  comfortable this fall.

“This year I prefer shorter hair because it’s easier to control,” senior Cendy Saldana said. Some of the best looks are incredibly simple and most of this fuss-free look is all about you”.

     2. The next style to look out for are braids. For millennia, women all over the world have worn braids. The style is one of the most versatile, running from incredibly intricate patterns to simple plaits. Many people prefer box braids, while others like the simplicity of the French braid. There are plenty of braid styles that could work for you depending on your personal taste. Whether you’re in the car, at school, in the gym or even at work, there’s a braided hairstyle that’s perfect for the occasion.

Various YouTubers have made videos that show how to create these braids on yourself or others. If you’re a skilled braider, try a serpentine French braid that moves from one side of your head to the other. For beginners, an easy option is to create a plain braid and twist to create a braided bun effect. Alternatively, you could also turn and pin the braids for a different finishA simple Google search will allow you to see the freedom you have in expressing yourself through braids.

      3. Lastly, bun it up! No matter your hair length or type, a stylish bun will always ensure you a chic and sleek look. With a variety of options available to suit any occasion, this easy-to-achieve hairdo is the perfect do to take you from day to night in style. There are many different types of buns you could try, including a high bun, low bun, pigtail bun and  messy bun. You have probably heard of the style your friends wearor the styles all over your Instagram feed, and now you’re ready to try it out. Hairstyles don’t have to be limited to specific genders; many men tend to go for the bun look as a way of dealing with their hair if it’s long.

Your hair is a way to express yourself no matter who you are,” junior Destiny Robinson said. “I tend to keep my hair up and out of my face because that’s what I prefer.”

This fall is all about changeGo out, be adventurous and try new things. Cut your hair short, play it safe with a cute bun or try simple braids. Just remember everyone has different hair lengths and styles in mind, so don’t be afraid to experiment with them.
