Maroon Madness kicked off  this year’s Homecoming Weekend, as students and parents packed the bleachers of Hynes Athletic Center to welcome the 2011-12 men’s and women’s basketball teams.

Each of the players threw free t-shirts into the stands as they were introduced to the screaming pit of Iona fans. The crowd went wild as Arizona transfer student “Momo” Jones stepped out onto the court. Jones recently received news that he would be cleared to play this upcoming season.
