‘Breaking Bad’ finale leaves fans satisfied

For all the “Breaking Bad” fans that wanted some closure, the much anticipated series finale left viewers satisfied and happy. It has been two weeks without Mr. White’s chicanery but the finale is still in the minds of the show’s loyal fans.

The finale was worth the wait. From Walt’s “tread lightly” to his scenes in a chemistry lab, no one could have guessed that was how the show would conclude. One may have guessed certain outcomes within the episode: Walt vs. Uncle Jack vs. Lydia and Jesse vs. Todd, but Todd’s demise most definitely left fans satisfied.

“Todd had it coming,” said junior Dan Pedroza.

Walt was on his final mission to do what was right, and return to balance the world around him. As he gathered his arsenal to do some damage, viewers waited with anticipation.

The flashback seen in the first episode was finally fulfilled when Walt retrieved his ricin. When Walt slithered his way past the DEA to visit Skylar, fans were definitely entertained. This scene still portrayed him as the bad guy but also as a man who was saving his family.

The scene where Walt saw his daughter one last time was heartbreaking to viewers. The teardrop from his eye was sad but the moment did bring him some clarity.

During Jesse’s story in the episode, he was cooking like a dog with no pay. The scene opened up with him doing carpentry. This work was his way of escaping the reality and mental torture he experienced.

The scene gave an intermission from Walt’s antics with Elliott and Gretchen Schwartz, which were humorous. Skinny Pete and Badger’s appearance was amusing when Walt trusted them with the simple job of pointing lasers at the Schwartz couple for $200,000.

Mr. White was ready to right the last wrong and save his prodigal son. When Walt arrived at the neo-Nazis’ headquarters, something great was inevitable. He went in guns blazing. Walt went to save Jesse, and although the scene was sad it was satisfying because Walt did so much good in this final episode.

It was bittersweet to see the dynamic duo face to face. It was clear that Jesse wanted to hurt Walt, just by the look in his eyes. Yet, he did not pull the trigger. As Jesse drives into the night sobbing and full of joy, Walt hangs back lingering inside a chemistry lab.

Walt, laying dead on floor, brought to mind the image of a fallen angel. In the end he redeemed himself with the choices he had to make, and he regained his humanity from the monster he created within himself.
