Behold to the new and exciting restaurant, Don Coqui! It is a Puerto Rican restaurant that is full of Latino flavor and presents Puerto Ricans in a bright light; which has the approval of many Latinos in the New Rochelle community. Don Coqui is known as “The Shortcut to Puerto Rico” who invites people from all different races to eat their delicious Puerto Rican and Seafood cuisine. Their hours of operation are pretty lenient for anyone; you can attend the ‘hot spot’ after work, class or from a long day at school in order to ease your mind from the stress of college work. This up and coming restaurant is not new to many people; however, it may be new to you! Therefore, here is the scoop: Don Coqui is fully equipped with a bar, lounge (21+), dining room area, valet parking, coat check-in, enthusiastic hostesses, private party areas, and lastly, an on-point waiter service twenty-four seven! Now you may be thinking; this place must be super expensive!

But it isn’t, it is actually affordable depending how good your wallet is! Monday-Wednesday the bar is open from 4pm-2am and the kitchen is open from 5pm-12am. Thursday the bar is open from 4pm-3am and the kitchen is open from 5pm-1am. Friday-Saturday the bar is open from 4pm-4am and the kitchen is open from 5pm-2am. Lastly, Sunday the bar is open from 3pm-12am and the kitchen is open from 3pm-12am. Now there is absolutely no excuse to NOT visit this fabulous restaurant—it tries to cater to everyone at different times, so do not miss out on the appetizing food! Now this is an utter treat for many of Don Coqui guests but Don Coqui has had and still has live entertainment from Tuesday-Saturday. Tuesday is known as karaoke night, so if you’re the type of person who thrives on busting out some dance and singing moves, this is the place to be at, at 9 on the dot! If you’re the type to not bust your ‘in-the-closet’ moves but would prefer a dinner with some music, Don Coqui offers that as well. Wednesday is known as ‘Latin Jazz,’ so it may be that romantic and fulfilling evening with that special someone! Thursdays is the renowned ‘Salsa Thursdays’ where the DJ and Salsa band keep it strictly ‘hot and heavy,’ playing songs from freestyle to an opening song of the Salsa band. Now what more can you ask for? But wait! There is more! Fridays and Saturdays music is offered solely by the DJ while he mixes some old-school but yet new and fresh tracks for all types of age groups!
