Tuesday Night Crew

Tuesday night rolls around,

I cannot help but conceal my frown.

As my long night abounds,

There’s not enough coffee for me to down!

Then my luck always turns around,

For as I shuffle down the stairs with an outstretched hand,

To grab my eighth cup of coffee –

Perched at the desk are the loveliest people in town.

Alyssa Marra and Robin Parmanand,

With smiling faces and sympathetic eyes greeting me.

How lucky I have been,

To have these two in my company,

Motivating me all the times when

I was certain I could cry!

Robin Parmanand is almost like my hero –

Constantly sharing wisdom from the suggestion box

And offering a joke here and there.

Without his shouts in the Ionian,

And his late night laughter,

Deadline would be awful and put me into the hereafter.

I cannot forget Alyssa Marra,

Whose bright eyes and chatter

Shine like a diamond tiara,

And laughter rings like the mad hatter.

When the night is long,

It seems like it’s never going to end.

I run downstairs to say hello,

Robin and Alyssa always have life to send

And good cheer with which to mend –

My Tuesday night feverish friends.
