Student talent shines at annual Coffee House

On Sept. 21, the Robert V. LaPenta End Zone evolved from quiet into a colorful social hub adorned with dim lighting and filled with casual chit chat.

One of the more popular events on campus is Coffee House which showcases Iona’s most talented performers for a laid back and enjoyable evening sponsored by Campus Ministries.

“Coffee House started with Hector Martinez,” said junior Campus Minister Joe Chabot. “Hector was a campus minister and he thought of starting this sort of thing for the students. He no longer works here, but this is his legacy, so to witnessed.”

The night was extremely successful and shocked even the seasoned veterans of the Coffee House.
