Bully beatdown

I don’t understand bullying. I don’t understand why people yell and argue, constantly debating in a cyclical pattern in order to get some obscure point across. I don’t understand why people use words, words that are created by us, words that can be used for something so much more beautiful, as a weapon to destroy lives. This has been said so many times before, but clearly, the repetition has not made a difference. Of course, I am referring to the suicide of Jamey Rodemeyer.
At age 14, Jamey was battling the bullies that came along with high school. He posted his worries from the hallways on his Tumblr and YouTube channel. He sought help, spoke with a therapist, consulted with his parents and made a It Gets Better video. And yet, on Sept. 18, Jamey took his life. Why is that?
