‘2012: Time for Change’ exposes it all

“2012

Directed by Emmy Award nominee João Amorim, the insightful documentary “2012: Time for Change” follows leading journalist Daniel Pinchbeck on a quest to find a new way, or even a new pattern of living with the scientific method.

Occasionally consumers are told to “Go Green” or “Save the Planet” but about how many times do humans actually listen and follow those proclaiming mottos?

Consumers also find themselves asking what type of revelation or self-awakening they really need. Today, humans need to realize that their needs are a turning point in their lives. The way corporations and consumers create and purchase cars, bicycles, houses, food and so on cannot continue because it will only affect our living in the future.

As the documentary unravels, leading journalist Daniel Pinchbeck interviews several Hollywood artists who have come to grip with the new world we live in and who actually try to fix the ecological plight.

One of the main interviewees was composer, actor, singer and activist Sting, who not only has a passion for the arts, but who has also embodied himself in the concerns of the environment of the world. Sting and his wife Trudie Styler have, for quite some time, supported human rights organizations such as the Rainforest Foundation, Amnesty International, and Live Aid mirrors.

Unbeknownst to several fans, Sting, along with his wife founded the Rainforest Foundation in 1989 to protect both the rainforests and the indigenous villagers who live there. According to the documentary, Sting and his wife have “held 16 benefit concerts to raise funds and awareness of our planet’s endangered Revolution.”

“2012: Time for Change” explores the varying thoughts about the year 2012. Many believe that it will be “the end of days,” the year when Jesus Christ shall return and seize the believers with him to Heaven and leave the nonbelievers to perish. However, there are others who believe in the return of the UFO’s. The reality of it all is that global consciousness has to once again change.

Once consumers fully take on the necessary measures they need to live in an eco-friendly environment, we will enter an era called the ‘Wisdom Street.”
