In a 60 Minutes interview in 2009, Chris Martin told interviewer Steve Kroft, “We rely more on enthusiasm than actual Xyloto’s” first two singles are comprised almost entirely of repetition.  These songs are discernible from each other, though. It is extremely easy to hear a Coldplay song from one of their first three albums and think it is almost any other song on these albums. They haven’t been known for producing vastly different sounds. They have, however, been known for producing songs vastly different from those that are usually played on the radio.
