Gaels get ready for a summer of relaxation

Finals week is approaching and Gaels are getting ready to head home for the semester. For many, the end of the year may be bittersweet, but excitement and anticipation is quickly taking over.
Students are bustling about campus to finish last-minute assignments and long-term research papers, but it’s clear that summer is their motivation. The Ionian spoke with these students to see what they were looking forward to most.
“I’m actually really looking forward to seeing my dog; he’s sort of funny looking and small but just cool to be with.” Omar Sanchez, ‘15.
“To put it quite simply, I am looking forward to No homework!” – Corrine Valenti, ‘16.
“What I look forward to the most is knowing that I can be completely comfortable, wearing and eating whatever I want. I look forward to not worrying about anything.” – Jocelyn Corado, ‘15.
“I look forward to being able to spend time with family and actually being able to relax and not worry about school work.” – Elry Bonilla, ‘16.
“I look forward to eating food, and having my mom cook for me. Sleeping in my own bed is always a plus!” – Brendan Doran, ‘16.
“I look forward to my puppy and my bed. My puppy is so cute and loyal and no bed is better than your own.” – Megan O’Rourke, ‘14.
“What I look forward to most is being back with my girlfriend and being able to do laundry for free.” – Adam Roaldi, ‘16.
“I’m most excited about seeing my daughter and eating a home cooked meal.” – Tre’ Bowman, ‘14.
“Everyone is looking forward to friends and family, but I’m excited just to relax and watch Netflix every few days!” – Anthony Aurrichio, ‘16.
“I’m excited to be reunited with my car! Her name is Edna.” – Megan Nicolaro, ‘16.
“I can’t wait to sing in my own shower!” – Jasmyn Plasencia, ‘16.
“I’m looking forward to my car, friends, my family and working; summertime in general but also my own room. Oh and definitely my shower!” – Samantha Leggio, ’16.
“I can’t wait for my dad’s shrimp scampi!” – Kiana McAuley-Pomeroy, ’16.
“I’m looking forward to seeing my sister and my dog, and being able to cross the street without almost dying.” – Caitlin Feest, ‘16.
“I cannot wait until I go home so I can wear my favorite suit and tie. As long as I have my suit and tie, I know I’ll be having a good time.” – Scott Rentz, ‘16.
