The NFL season is officially upon us. That means updating your fantasy football team and wearing your favorite team’s jersey, while being glued to the television from 1-10 p.m. on Sundays.

The Ionian Sports Section is getting into the football mood by making predictions for week one. This will be something the sports section will be doing for the entire 2017 season. The rules are very simple. Whoever has the best record, and tallies the most points at the end of the season wins.

Here is how the points system works:

 +3 for a correct pick

-1 for an incorrect pick

0 points for a tie

+5 for correct Monday Night Football pick
