My name is Andre Gidden and I am running to be your vice president of finance for the upcoming year. I believe that I am a very stern individual who possesses many leadership qualities. Being a senator at-large for this academic year, I attempted to reach out to the Iona community to see what my team and I could do to make Iona a better place for all of us. I believe students’ voices matter because without the students there can be no Iona. Even though I did everything I could as a senator at- large, I was not satisfied with myself because I know there is always more that I could do. I emphasize on “could” because if given this opportunity that will change.

I am a firm believer that everyone’s vision deserves provision. Each and everyone one of you have some idea of how your ideas or visions can in some way or form impact the Iona community. If given this position, I promise to work my hardest in ensuring everyone’s vision is considered, hopefully get approved and together we not only see the change, we can be the change.
