The popular superhero anime “My hero academia” has finally returned to Japanese television and the streaming service, Crunchyroll. The eighth and final season of my hero academia was released this past Saturday Oct. 5th
The Marvel-inspired anime has been around for the past 9 years since 2016, and the anime will reach its tenth anniversary in 2026. The season kicks off as former symbol of peace our and number one hero, All might fights his long arch nemesis All For One as they confront and continue with their final action packed fight where all might use an iron man like suit to face off the regenerating all for one and he gives a message to world that “ANYONE CAN BE A HERO.” The final war arc carries a series of fights , family matters, and in some cases redemption.
Shoto Todoroki and his family go beyond their limits to stop their evil and psychopathic long lost older sibling Toya Todoroki, also known as Dabi, who is driven by his intense hatred towards the current number one hero, Endeavor. Endeavor is also the Todoroki family’s father. Dabi hates his family due to Endeavor’s obsession with surpassing All Might, leading to Endeavor’s abuse of Shoto, his siblings and his wife which caused severe resentment.
Likewise, the mother of the family, Rei Todoroki , suffered a mental breakdown and had to leave the family. Shoto knows that life isn’t fair and though he does not like talking about his past, he still acknowledges his father as a hero. To add on, he also considers Dabi his older brother still, despite the massive damage he has done to innocent people. This conflict is one of the many aspects of My Hero Academia that renders it so interesting.
The heroine of the superhero anime, Ochaco Uraraka meets her nemesis Himiko toga, who has become rage driven and more insane. Ochaco wanted to reach Himiko’s heart because they both hold a torch for Deku and even after Ochaco gets injured she finally reached Himiko heart and Himiko sacrificed herself to save Ochaco from death giving the villainess a heartwarming and tear-jerking redemption and sacrifice.
The My Hero Academia series was deemed one of the best anime series of the 2010s and granted audiences a bevy of action and comedic moments but it also imparts the most important lessons in life. Never give up on your dream as Deku was quirky himself but that did not stop him from pursuing his dream like All Might and he worked very hard to achieve that goal as he went through intense training, fights and near-death situations. He also gains acknowledgment from his family and friends even his childhood friend and rival Katsuki Bakugo. In the end, he was always a hero at heart.
