As a promotional event for the upcoming “Pokemon Legends: Z-A”, the Pokemon Company is collaborating with lucha libre promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) to host an event in Arena Mexico on Sept. 25, 2025.
The theme of the show is similar to the reveal trailer for Mega Hawlucha, seeing the tecnicos (faces or good wrestlers) representing “Team Hawlucha” and the rudos (heels or evil wrestlers) representing “Team Machamp”. For the sake of clarity in this preview, the first team listed in a match will be members of “Team Hawlucha”, with the second representing “Team Machamp”.
Los Viajeros del Espacio (Futuro and Max Star) vs Felino Jr. and Stuka Jr.:
A match with a bit of confusion surrounding it, as sources are confused as to whether this is Stuka Jr. or Felino Jr.’s stablemate in Los Herederos, Hijo del Stuka Jr..
Regardless of if it’s Stuka Jr. or Hijo del Stuka Jr., Felino Jr. has been racking up wins as of late, currently on a five-win win streak and has won eight of his last 10, as of Sept. 21.
Meanwhile, Los Viajeros del Espacio have been shaky, with Futuro and Max star only winning five of their last 10 matches.
If I had to pick a winner, it would probably be Felino Jr. and his teammate, whether that be Stuka Jr. or Hijo del Stuka Jr.
La Catalina, Kira, and Skadi vs Candela, Persephone, and Reyna Isis:
If you were to ask me before the results of CMLL’s 92nd anniversary event, I would’ve easily picked the team consisting of Persephone and Reyna Isis, considering I thought they were going to win CMLL’s Women’s World Tag Team championships.
They didn’t pick up the victory, but I imagine that doesn’t really affect my pick. Throughout the match, Persephone and Reyna Isis were the fan favorites and I imagine that helps them get the advantage.
I see Team Machamp (Candela, Persephone, and Reyna Isis) taking the win.
Dulce Gardenia, Fuego, and Templario vs Angel de Oro and Los Villanos (Hijo del Villano III and Villano III Jr.):
We’ve been seeing Dulce Gardenia, a regular for CMLL’s shows in Arena Coliseo Guadalajara, appear in Arena Mexico more over the past couple of weeks, usually in losing efforts. Read about these new match-ups for “Pokemon: Legends”
However, Angel de Oro, with his brother Niebla Roja, wrestled Los Villanos on CMLL’s 92nd anniversary show for the CMLL World Tag Team Championships. I still see there being bad blood between the two teams after the match, with Los Villanos betraying Angel de Oro and allowing Team Hawlucha to pick up the win.
Titan and El Sky Team (Mistico and Mascara Dorada) vs Barbaro Cavenario, Hechicero, and Volador Jr.:
An all-star trios match that you’d typically see headline an Arena Mexico card, this is the match that I expect to be match of the night and also to have the most Pokemon integration.
Mistico is coming into this match after a big win over MJF in a mask vs title match at CMLL’s 92nd anniversary show (a match that I consider to be a modern classic), and I easily see Titan and El Sky Team picking up the victory.
