Traveling is one of the most fulfilling things in life. The opportunity to travel to another country or state and get to experience a whole new culture is something so unique and exciting. I have been fortunate enough to travel to places such as Australia, Ireland, Japan and Germany. It’s hard to put into words how cool it is to be immersed in such different cultures all around the world. Often, we can be so stuck in a bubble because we are used to American culture, but there is so much more world out there to explore. Although it can sometimes be tricky to travel to foreign countries because of language barriers, managing your way around a new part of the world is easier than you think.
There are also so many tools available to us, such as Duolingo and Google Translate, if you are stuck. One of my favorite things is traveling and I hope to do a lot more of it once I graduate college. All the places I have traveled to were amazing, but I have such a soft spot for Ireland because all my family is there. Going to Ireland and seeing my grandparents and cousins is something I look forward to each year. I am always planning my next trip back, even when I am still in Ireland. I hope to move there in the fall for at least a year to be able to spend more time with my grandparents and family. Australia was another trip for me that really stood out to me.
Australia had such nice scenery and beaches , and even though I’m not a massive fan of beaches and the ocean, it was really nice to see how well kept the parks are over there. One of the things that really stuck out to me was the fact that no matter what time or how cold it was, there were always people taking advantage of the water , whether it be cold plunging, surfing or swimming. It is very clear how much Australia appreciates their land. Everywhere I have traveled to so far has been such a great experience, but there are so many places I have yet to travel to that I would love to explore when I get older. Some places on my bucket list are Croatia, Greece, Austria, Scotland and so many more. I would highly recommend people to start traveling if they can, because there are so many places around the world that are waiting for you to see.
