What new music you should have on your playlist

Kesha is among many artists to recently release new music, with her new song “Raising Hell” perfectly blending pop and gospel sounds.

The first single of the “Tik Tok” singer’s upcoming album “High Road” is spectacular. It is the perfect pop song with gospel undertones that provide a feel good, uplifting song. The beat is funky and the lyrics are fun. Although it is sonically similar to “Rainbow,” the cheeky lyrics are similar to Kesha’s earlier albums.

“Good as Hell (Remix)” by Lizzo featuring Ariana Grande

I love the original song, I love Lizzo and I love Ariana Grande. The combination of the three should be a recipe for success, but the entire remix just seems unnecessary. Ariana’s verse is nothing exciting and, apart from a few new harmonies, does not really contribute anything new to the song. I would much rather listen to the original.

“Lose You to Love Me” by Selena Gomez

The first of two new singles dropped by the “Hands to Myself” singer is definitely the better of the pair. It is a slow, emotional ballad expressing how Gomez had to let go of someone to truly find herself. The song is very reminiscent of Gomez’s “The Heart Wants What It Wants.” The song is beautiful with a soft melody and intense lyrics.

“Look at Her Now” by Selena Gomez

The beat is perfect to dance too but lyrically it is not Gomez’s best. The chorus is simply the song title over and over again. I believe the song will fare better once someone remixes it. The song is great for a party, but it would not be my first choice to listen to in my free time.

“Body Back” by Gryffin featuring Maia Wright

Gryffin’s new album is awesome from start to finish, but the seventh track is one of my favorites. The song is sexy and vibrant with a beat that makes you want to move. I highly recommend putting this one on repeat.
