Update on Occupational Therapy Grad Program

Last semester, the Ionian published an article about a new Occupational Therapy graduate program coming to Iona. The program was approved Jan. 8 and will be accepting applications for the fall semester. The program will be run by Dr. Laurette Olson, who has over 30 years of experience as an occupational therapist, according to an Iona College press release.

“With the speed of change in the world today, every field has to think about innovation, and having the Hynes Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation on campus to help us think about and develop innovations in OT is very exciting,” Olson said in the press release.

“Iona prepares its students for both service and success in the classroom and in life. Our OT program opens up new opportunities for our students to shine in their lives and in the lives of others,” President Joseph E. Nyre said in the press release.
